Rectangular church, without a prominent apse. The nave has a long, pointed vault ceiling, with no cornice. There is a niche on each side, one with Our Lady of the Pillar and the other with the Holy Christ. There is also a chapel on each side, which were added in the 18th century and dedicated to the Immaculate Conception and the Sacred Heart. At the entrance to this latter chapel there is a baptismal font dating back to 1590. Today’s building is not the original one built in the 11th century. This one was probably built in the late 13th or 14th century. On the façade there is a neoclassical door from the 18th century and it is covered by plasterwork that has remnants of sgraffito which formed a decorative geometric pattern. The bell tower has a square floor plan. The church of Vilafant was destroyed by the military during the Reapers’ War.
