The old church of Sant Pere de Navata is located south east of the town, in the neighbourhood of Can Miró. It is a Romanesque church built in the 12th and 13th centuries, with a single nave with a pointed vault, a semicircular apse and a two-sided tiled roof. The access door, located to the west, is level with a semicircular tympanum and five decorated semicircular arched archivolts and an exterior moulding to protect it from dust. The four columns on either side of the door are also decorated; the two at the entrance are Solomonic ones and on their capitals there are reliefs with plant and animal themes. “Agnus Dei ” is sculpted on the tympanum. The access door preserves the old Romanesque ironwork. In the central part of the façade there is a semicircular arch aperture and, at the top, a small single-arched bell gable.
