Stone Hut of en Pot | Pla de Vinyers
Local inventory: L-37 | Code Wikipedia: 6,832
Declared Cultural Asset of Local Interest
Interior height: 2.45 m | Inner diameter Ø: 2.65 m
Large simple hemispherical stone hut, that is, with more than 2 meters of interior height, with a very well-made regular vault and no crown. It is attached to a perimeter wall of a plot of land which at the same time constitutes the historic path known as the Camí Ceboller. The door, with a primitive or almond arch, is protected by eaves. As indicated by Jenar Fèlix in The dry stone huts of the Garriga d'Empordà, it is one of the first large farm huts in the Pla de Vinyers. The huts of this type are an evolution of their "small simple" precedents, in as far as they increase the size of the vault but maintain the same simple external appearance with a single edge.
Project sponsored by the Llers school as part of the “Raising awareness among the local population to protect the heritage of the Garriga d'Empordà” campaign within the framework of the PECT titled “Valorisation of the dry stone construction heritage of the Garriga d'Empordà”.
Restoration promoted by Llers Town Council with the support of the Dept. of Culture of the Generalitat of Catalonia in the framework of the "Subsidies for the execution of works of restoration and conservation of buildings of notable cultural value for the three-year period 2020-2022" and carried out by E.I. Foresterra SCCL.
