STONE HUT OF FAMILIA PAU | Pla de Vinyers
Local inventory: L-53 | Code Wikipedia: 10,067
Declared Cultural Asset of Local Interest
Interior height: 2.20 m | Inner diameter Ø: 2.10 m
Truncated cone hut with buttress, attached to a wide dividing wall. Two large buttresses penetrate the façade up to the door, and on the side there is a space set aside for a donkey with a feeding trough. It would be a contemporary of the first large farming huts in the Pla de Vinyers (early decades of the 19th century).
The façade was lost between 2014 and 2018 due to a landslide. The old façade had a rare particularity in the area that recalled constructions from the Garrotxa or the Balearic Islands, since it was topped by two pieces placed at the apex.
Restoration promoted by Llers Town Council with the support of the Dept. of Culture of the Generalitat of Catalonia in the framework of the "Subsidies for the execution of works of restoration and conservation of buildings of notable cultural value for the three-year period 2020-2022" and carried out by E.I. Foresterra SCCL.
