The four mooring bitts that belong to the former port structures in Cadaqués which likely already existed in the first third of the 19th century and still stand today. These testaments to the height of the Cadaqués merchant navy are known locally as “pilons”, or pylons. They were combined with stakes and a series of other now-disappeared small bitts mounted on land, particularly on the current promenade along Gran beach.
