Es Piló is the largest and most remarkable of the four remaining mooring bitts that belong to the former port structures in Cadaqués. These posts likely already existed in the first third of the 19th century. These bitts (known locally as “pilons”, or pylons) are the ones at des Podritxó, des Pianc and en Tits. There is another one on Sant Antoni beach in Portlligat, which is not as well preserved as the others.
