This north-facing vantage point construction offers magnificent views over the Serra de l’Estela, the Perthus Mountain Pass and Lladó. Other elements of this landscape can be observed such as the lines of tree bordering the fields, cereal crops, olive groves and pine forests. These agroforestry mosaic landscapes are a constant feature of La Garrotxa area in Empordà, where structures made up of small dry agricultural plots with forest clearings abound. Several farmhouses and towns form part of this rural landscape where the constructed elements are of great quality and interest. The presence of tree and bush lined borders, often formed by hedges and fruit trees trace the lines of the relief and create a landscape which is pleasing to the eye. The crops are mostly dry crops, basically olive trees, cereals and fodder, and adapt sinuously to the relief and undulations of the plains.
