A complex made up of the coastal façades of the buildings between the central part of the Llaner Gran beach, to the west, and the rear of the houses on Avinguda Colom and Avinguda Víctor Rahola, to the east. They are made up of 143 buildings stretching a total length of 1.53 kilometres. The mooring bollards and shorelines have also been included in this complex which are considered as elements of special interest.
View of Cadaqués seafront, a typical image of the town. In the foreground, there are a few boats with three people, probably dedicated to fishing. Just behind is the church of Santa Maria in Cadaqués, white with its original plaster work. A photograph taken by Josep Maria Cañellas in 1888 and belonging to the Rubaudonadeu Collection. Another element which can be highlighted is the street that runs right next to the beach and that passes under arches that belong to an extension of a house. The collection is kept in the Fages de Climent Library in Figueres.
Cadaqués, at the fulcrum of water and hill,
lifts flights of stairs and hides seashells.
Wooden flutes pacify the air. An ancient woodland god gives the children fruit.
Her fishermen sleep dreamless on the sand.
On the high sea a rose is their compass.
The horizon, virgin of wounded handkerchiefs,
links the great crystals of fish and moon. (...)
Oh Salvador Dali, of the olive-coloured voice!
I speak of what your person and your paintings tell me.
I do not praise your halting adolescent brush,
but I sing the steady aim of your arrows.
