The Tomb of the General, also called cist of Fitó's mountain neck, is a cist with a burial mound, very well preserved thanks to the restoration it was subject to in 1987, which facilitates its interpretation. It is probably called the general's tomb because in the popular imagination it was already known that these megaliths had a funerary function, but the historical and cultural distance of the megalithic period made its interpretation impossible, and it was assumed that it had to be the tomb of some relevant but unknown character, such as a general. It is one of the oldest monuments in the area: it is between 6,000 and 5,500 years old.
