The Serinyana family have been one of the most prominent lineages of seafarers and traders (maritime pilots, shipowners, captains and merchants) of Cadaqués. From the 16th century through to the 19th century, there were reports of their travels and trade contacts throughout the Mediterranean. At the beginning of the 20th century, Octavi Serinyana commissioned the construction of this house to the architect Salvador Sellés. It is a modernist building, with an almost absolute predominance of the colour of sky blue. On the façade, the sky-blue glazed ceramic decoration stands out; friezes, balustrades, window and door frames and the wrought iron elements of the railings and balconies. The existence of the warehouse is a unique aspect of the project. It is a free-standing element that leads the residence through the terrace located above it, which provides a splendid vantage point looking out over the bay of Cadaqués. Inside, the original structure, partitioning and decoration have been practically preserved.
