Military bunkers built by the "Servicio Militar de Construcción (Military Construction Service)” under Franco. These bunkers belong to the extensive network of bunkers and machine gun nests built from 1940 to 1945, which extend along the border and the northern coast of Empordà. This network was called the P or Pérez line, although it is also known as the Gutiérrez line, perhaps because Colonel Manuel Duelo Gutiérrez from the Corps of Engineers participated in a meeting to discuss the fortification of this line. The name actually comes from the geographical position of the line in question, which covered the entire Pyrenees, hence the name P. All these buildings were built after the war of 1936-39 by Franco army services to respond to a potential invasion from France. The regiments were moved out and the bunkers dismantled in 1985.
