The Church of Sant Sebastià, located in the middle of the historic center of Maçanet de Cabrenys, dates from the end of the 15th century. Specifically, it was built after the outbreak of the plague in the years 1589-1592. Originally, it is thought that the building was lower, since the current chapel corresponds to an 18th century reform.
It consists of a nave with side chapels on either side, with the presbytery facing north. The arches of the four chapels are pointed and three of them bear the dates incised in the vaults which form the key. On the east wall is the altar of Remei, which bears the date 1703; and that of Sta. Llúcia, 1724. On the west wall is the altar of Sant Isidre (1726) and another undated altar, with the Mare de Déu dels Dolors.
