Vantage point from the Sant Martí Church Verified listing

This east-facing, lectern-style vantage point offers magnificent views over the Coll de Banyuls mountain pass, Vila-sacra, Mas Boscà, Roses and Santa Margarida. Other elements of this landscape can be observed such as the lines of cypress trees bordering the fields, cereal and olive groves, poplars, as well as farms and industrial estates. The landscape of this area of Empordà is characterised by its eminently agricultural nature and its plains. The tramuntana northern wind is the main symbol and identity of the Empordà plain, with numerous literary and artistic references being made to it. The lines of cypress trees on the plain protect the orchards and fields from this north wind. We see the presence of forest clearings, which are arranged along rivers, streams and canals, as well as rural paths and roads.
