Capitell de Sant Llorenç dels Sous

This capital was part of the Sant Llorenç de Sous Monastery. It dates back to the 12th century, it’s small in size and made of limestone. The four faces are decorated with a monster’s head with stems that protrude from its mouth. Beneath it, there is a lion’s head, which also has its mouth open, with the stems entering it. If you’d like to see the original, you can visit the Girona Art Museum where it is on display.
