Inside the old part of the Oliveda Group’s winery, in a space where cava used to be made years ago, a unique and peculiar museum grows, piece by piece. It is a small museum but it is steeped in history and passion. A museum that has come about due to Josep Oliveda Casanovas’ passion for the vineyard and for wine. Together with his wife, Joana Rigau Ros, they founded the Oliveda Group, a renowned company dedicated to the production and sale of wines and cavas and which had already been producing wine for family consumption since 1764. Twenty-five taps donated by the wife of one of Mr Oliveda’s friends (who had died in an accident) with the intention of them being kept as a reminder were the beginning of a collection that, today, contains almost 5,000 pieces. These are taps from the most renowned wine-producing countries, such as France, Germany, Italy, Austria and Spain. The display dedicated to Salvador Dalí stands out, as it has an interesting example playing with his most surreal imaginary.
