Opened in 1989, the Watercolour Museum is a public collection of watercolour paintings. At the time of making the donation, the desire of the founder, Josep Maria Martínez Lozano, was to provide Llançà with a unique artistic heritage not seen before in Europe, thus giving the population and watercolour a symbiotic prominence with the aim of promoting them and giving them the importance and prestige they deserve.
Watercolour by the painter Martínez Lozano called “Apunt en vermell” (Sketch in red), which represents some houses in the town of Llançà and is dated 1989. Above all, the red colour stands out contrasting with the other colours and shapes. This work is part of the rich pictorial collection at the Llançà Watercolour Museum. Its dimensions are 16 x 25 cm.
