The church of Sant Martí de Taravaus was consecrated on 17 May 1321, although a church dedicated to Saint Martin has been documented as early as 1279. This original church was likely rebuilt in the early 14th century. According to author Joan Badia, the Taravaus church is an example of the prolonged use of the Romanesque style in local architecture. The building has a single nave with a semi-circular apse. The façade, located to the west, is whitewashed. It has a voussoir door, with four semi-circular archivolts. A modern oculus decorates the centre of the façade. The bell tower rises on the north side; it has a square layout, with semi-circular arch windows and a pavilion roof. The nave, also whitewashed, has a pointed vault ceiling, suggesting that it dates to the late Romanesque.
