The Empordà Museum of Technology, a Fundació Pere Padrosa Puignau - Margarita Pierre Mallol space, is located in a building renovated in 1944. It was the former headquarters of the Transports Padrosa and the home of the Padrosa-Puignau family until 1989. The industrial building was converted into a cultural building in 2004. Only the façade and the old staircase from the old building remain. Everything else was rebuilt, adapting the structure to accommodate a museum and cultural space. The Empordà Museum of Technology is a place to relive and understand the past; a space for learning about technology and the changes that took place during the Industrial Revolution. The pieces on display, which were used daily until only recently, are essential for studying and understanding 19th and 20th century history.
