The girls' school was built in 1916. This building was designed by architect Antoni Farrés and was built thanks to a cash donation from Frederic Rahola and the donation of a plot of land by Josep Francesch. There is also evidence of a 1929 design by Josep Esteve to build the children's school, a project that was never implemented. The National Schools, for girls only at first, were expanded and remodelled by architects Assumpció Alonso and Benet Cervera in the 1980s. A second remodel took place from 2006-2007.
