Middle Neolithic passage tomb that was later used as a vineyard hut. The first documented reference to the tomb comes from Isidre Macao who, in 1934, published a diagram and a photo. The dolmen was excavated by August Panyella and Miquel Tarradell in 1942. Two small fragments of pottery were observed on the ground during a visit by members of GESEART in 1987. The objects found (polished stone axes) are dated to the Neolithic-Copper Age. Based on its architectural style, Tarrús (2002) dates the dolmen to the first or second phase of the Alt Empordà - Rosselló passage tombs, that is, between the first and second half of the 4th millennium BC. Because it was repurposed as a vineyard hut in modern times, the dolmen has been partially destroyed.
