This is a passage tomb from the Middle Neolithic period, which August Panyella and Joan Garriga excavated in 1943. Three stratigraphic levels with different archaeological materials were uncovered during the dig. The materials exhumed during the excavation point to the Copper Age. Two edges of Iberian pottery were found that may correspond to an initial phase of grave robberies. However, based on its architectural style, Tarrús (2002) places it chronologically in the second phase of the Alt Empordà - Roussillon passage tombs, that is, the second half of the 4th millennium BC. Located in an area with thick vegetation, its state of conservation is partial and essential parts of the dolmen are missing.
